This site is slowly coming together. Expect instability as I am growing the underlying code. The pennyjar blog is live, and so are the text and poetry sections. Anything that exists of the rest is currently only at the old site.

 

Or in other words, how to get me to help you at all. I want to help you, but I have limited time resources: please respect me, my wife, my child, my other friends, my clients, and my coworkers by including the following with your requests for help.

First of all, I need to know what it is you are trying to accomplish. If you don't know this yourself, you should be asking a different question. Asking me to do whatever I think is best is not doing me a favor, it's asking me to design your project.

What about your code doesn't work? Exactly where does it fail?

Steps you've taken so far

Tell me what you've tried to do to solve the problem or where you were in your development process when you ran into trouble.

All and only the relevant files--in working order

Send me a zip (or tar or tgz or 7z) file or link to the file. Every file relevant to the problem file including all images and supporting files should be included in the proper places in the archive. I should be able to open the main file in my web browser or type php.exe path/to/file and get results the same as yours in all important respects. Whatever works on your system should work on mine as soon as I open the archive, and whatever breaks on your system should break on mine as soon as I open the archive.
